Homicide Victim In Green Store Shooting ID'd

The identity of the victim of a fatal shooting on Willow Street in Waterbury was released by police, who said they have yet to identify the man who killed him.

On Sunday, Nov. 8, 45-year-old Henry Paulin was shot in the abdomen before 11 p.m. while patronizing Super Deli 5 at 173 Willow Street, known as the "Green Store," police said. Witnesses told police that several people in the store were having a "loud discussion" before multiple gunshots were fired

Police tracked down 33-year-old man lying on 56 Ridgewood Street who had also been shot in the torso and arm at the convenience store and reportedly left the scene before the arrival of authorities. This man is still hospitalized as of Tuesday, Nov. 10, and is expected to recover from his injuries, according to The Waterbury Observer

Paulin, who was also sent to Waterbury Hospital, was unconscious but still breathing when police responded to the scene, but was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.

Police are still looking for a suspect in this case. Those with information about the shooting are asked to contact detectives at 203-574-6941, or leave an anonymous message via Crime Stoppers at 203-755-1234.
